My Story…
Embarking on my cookie decorating journey, I was faced with considerable costs in both time and money. I attended cookie decorating classes at $75 per session, with additional costs of $65 for a babysitter. The classes were 45 miles away, which meant dealing with rush hour traffic, and often lasted 2 hours. Yet despite my commitment, I often found myself back in my kitchen unable to remember what I had learned.
When my youngest son was born, my desire to master cookie decorating heightened. Despite the expense and difficulty, I pursued classes weekly. The discouragement set in when my cookies failed to resemble the perfect samples presented in class. I wondered if I would ever grasp the art of cookie decoration.
However, my persistence eventually paid off. After three years of attending in-person classes and seven years of self-practice, I finally acquired the skills and confidence to open my own business. I even partnered with a local bakery to teach my cookie decorating classes.
